A lot has happened over the past year with New World Interactive’s tactical first-person shooter, Insurgency 2 (www.insurgency2.com). Having been in development as a sequel to the highly-acclaimed mod Insurgency, the follow-up is a standalone title, built from the ground up. Fans of the original and those excited by what they’ve seen have taken to the game’s recently launched Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/newworldinteractive/insurgency-2), and the support has been flooding in.
New World Interactive is overwhelmingly excited to have nearly $57,000 of pledges on Kickstarter, a third of their 180,000 dollar goal with 28 days left.
Merely entering alpha stages, new Insurgency 2 footage proves this game as a fully-realized experience, exceeding the original with stunning visuals and tight gameplay (http://vimeo.com/47185308). As the game continues throughout development with support from friends, family and gamers alike, it will only get better. New World Interactive has been compiling a mass of feedback from their forums and testers, and they welcome as much of it as people can stand to give.
Tune into Insurgency 2’s Kickstarter page (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/newworldinteractive/insurgency-2) for all the most recent updates, new videos and screens, livestreaming and more. Supporters can enjoy benefits from getting the game itself, being a tester, being in the game, joining the creative process and much more yet.
