The Long Dark’s Sandbox Mode will be available for purchase on Steam Early Access starting  today, September 22nd, at 9AM PDT.
The Long Dark’s Sandbox Mode has been in closed Alpha since early June. Since then, about 1000 players have logged tens of thousands of hours of play time, doing whatever they need to do to survive the game’s harsh survival Sandbox mode. The game is stable, the content is polished, gameplay is balanced.
The Long Dark’s Sandbox Mode is priced at $19.99, which provides immediate access (upon game unlock) to the game’s freeform, non-narrative Sandbox Mode, as well as the all future Season One episodes from the game’s Story Mode, featuring the talents of co-writer Marianne Krawczyk (God of War), and actors Mark Meer, Jennifer Hale, Elias Toufexis, and David Hayter.
