Seth Gordon Out As Director of Uncharted Movie

The Uncharted series’ journey to movie screens has been a rocky one, and now another setback has once again cast doubt on the fate of the big-screen adaptation.  Seth Gordon is no longer the Director of the project, for reasons that have not been made public.

Gordon has previously helmed the movies Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief.  While it is not clear why Gordon is out, movie news site Heroic Hollywood reports that Sony Pictures Head Tom Rothman was adamant that the movie be made with a lower budget.

The movie was supposed to originally start filming in early 2015, but work has not yet begun.  It was first proposed in 2009, and has gone through many Directors and lead actors since.  It seems we will have to wait to see if the Uncharted movie ever gets its chance to wow audiences in theatres.
