Rainbow Mika Joins Street Fighter V Roster

New characters keep coming for upcoming game Street Fighter V, as Capcom has announced Rainbow Mika will appear in the PS4 and PC game. Although rumored to be coming, Rainbow Mika has only now been made official. Before Street Fighter V, she appeared in 1998’s Street Fighter Alpha 3.

“As a flamboyant young wrestler, Mika dreamed of one day becoming a star in the ring, much like her idol Zangief,” Capcom said on PlayStation Blog. “Training under the strict tutelage of her coach, she traveled the world engaging in random matches with street fighters in order to spread her name and popularity.”

R. Mika will boast a “large variety of high-flying moves,” one of which involves calling in her tag-team partner Nadeshiko.

“By calling Nadeshiko at the right time using R. Mika’s V-Trigger ability, you’ll be able to setup sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups that are sure to knock the stuffing out of your opponent,” explains Capcom. “Players who enjoy close-combat guessing games and striking fear into the hearts of opponents will find R. Mika an absolute delight to play.”

R. Mika’s V-Skill is “Mic Performance,” in which she pulls out her microphone and gives a “heart-pumping monologue to the crowd.” The longer the button is held, the more powerful her throws get. When she’s giving her monologue, R. Mika can absorb one hit from her opponent; she can also cancel the speech at any time. Doing this flings the microphone at her opponent.
